About This Program
Vallige is an AI-powered companion platform for families supporting loved ones living with dementia.

Friends of Village is a caregiving coordination feature within the Vallige platform. VAL, Vallige's AI care assistant, sends SMS messages to trusted helpers ("Friends of Village") to coordinate rides, errands, visits, and other caregiving tasks for families supporting loved ones with dementia.
How You Get Enrolled (Opt-In Process)

1. A registered caregiver adds your name and phone number as a trusted helper through the Vallige companion app.

2. You receive an initial opt-in SMS message:

3. "Hi [Name]! You've been invited to be a Friend of Village — a helper for someone who needs support. By replying YES, you consent to receive SMS messages from VAL, the Vallige care assistant, including task requests, confirmations, reminders, and check-ins. Message frequency varies. 4. Only if you reply YES are you enrolled. No further messages are sent unless you explicitly opt in.

Types of Messages You May Receive

• Task requests — e.g., "Can you help with a ride on Wednesday?"

• Confirmations — e.g., "You're confirmed for Wednesday's ride."

• Reminders — day-before and hour-before event reminders.

• Check-ins — post-event follow-ups and thank-yous.

• Recognition — monthly appreciation messages.

Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on caregiving needs. Typical volume is 2–10 messages per month.
